Retractable installation on window is prevalent due to tiny volume. This typical gears are pleated blinds and pleated insect screen (flymesh in the other words). They are designed to fold up into a “compacted” volume while they are used to open for blackout or anti-mosquito.

Their performances on this pleating machine are quite different owing to their composition and process technology. In this context, the machine settings suppose to be tweaked in accordance with each material to be pleated.

For instance, the pleated blinds are composed of various polyester through differed weaving equipment, their textures appear distinctively. The another factor effecting on the pleated blinds is the heat treatment which leads to obvious “wave” on the pleated product or not. In a nutshell, the fabric manufacturers are likely to mix some special ingredient to meet the market special requirement, such as waterproof, higher elasticity, more durable, the pitch-black, etc.

As an exception, there are some regions are filled with the most cost-effective blinds which are made of hardened or black coated non-woven fabric. This material is the desired fabric to be pleated on this pleating machine as well because it has not to suffer from uneven stretching between the longitude and the latitude.

On the contrary, the insect mesh is easier to handle. It is produced and weaved by polyester, PP, PE or even steel. Gsm of the flat mesh is determinated by the diameter of warp and weft.
